MY BIGGEST PROJECT EVER: HERE
The world is more than what we see when we step out of our door every morning to go to school, to work, wherever it may be.
Confining yourself to only one country, one culture, one language does a disservice to you and all of the incredible adventures that await us in this world.
It may be hard to step out of your comfort zone but once you do, you will realize that the vast experiences you gain in your travels can never be topped by anything else.
It may be expensive to travel, but just remember that the small trips near home can also make a difference in your life. You can go anywhere that your heart desires as long as you make it a priority and work towards it.
I have made travelling one of my priorities, and I am here to inspire you to do the same.
Let's face it, you wouldn't be here reading this if you didn't want to be inspired.
Listen, I am aware that we are all in different situations and for some it is harder to do things like travelling than others. But if we never even try, then how will we know if we are capable or not? This goes for anything, not just travelling.
One of the main reasons I decided to start this blog is because I noticed that a lot of specific information was missing from the blogs and pages that I read before travelling to South East Asia. I was unprepared for some of the things that came my way (which is one of the many sobering realities that comes with travelling to new countries) but if I could help you prepare even just a little bit more, then why not?
It started with "#MariTip" on my captions on Instagram and when many of my followers expressed how helpful these tips were for them, I decided it's time to put it all in one place.
Oh and just to be clear, I am not here to convince you to sell everything and leave your 9-5 job to travel the world. For some, quitting that 9-5 and travelling the world is what makes them happy and if that is what makes you happy and you can sustain yourself doing it, then go for it! But I can't. Travelling is my passion, but not my only passion, and I believe in the balance. I have a whole different life outside of travelling but I have learned to balance these different aspects in my life to be at the level that makes me happy.
Soon, I will share with you how you can travel while not having to quit school or your current job.
Read everything there is to know before heading to Bali. Don't make the same mistakes that I did. Enjoy the same experiences I enjoyed and lastly, fall in love with the island like I did.
